The history of the famous Čačak cinema “Sutjeska” began back in February 1948. Since then, generations have grown up watching films on the big screen in Kralja Petra I Street. From the very beginning of its operation, “Sutjeska” was located in the building of the Agricultural Cooperative Branch, which, since its establishment in 1941, had been used for lectures, gatherings, and exhibitions. Although strengthened and enriched by its long and remarkable history, the old cinema building eventually faced the challenges brought by time, aging infrastructure, and the emergence of much more advanced technologies. In order to continue serving as a place where future generations could grow, learn, and create lasting memories, the construction of a new mixed-use residential and commercial complex began in 2016. As part of this development, a completely new cinema hall was built.
